STORE HOURS 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Daily City Council (Confirmed from page ) Martin Powell appeared before the council and requested a business license and a beer license for Carolyn's Billards. Carolyn Gurney was present and indicated she is selling the business to Mr. Powell. A report was presented which indicated that this application had received clearance through the police depar-tment. The council voted to grant the licenses to Mr. Powell. The council discussed again the charge to be made for water, sewer and garbage for businesses associated with homes. The feeling of the council was that a double fee should be assessed for those locations which provide multiple use. This would apply to home occupations, in one building and similar situations. A resolution adop-ting this provision will be prepared and presented at the next council meeting. The council discussed the proposed annexation of property located bet-ween 100 east and the MnrrWk Canal anu north of 1100 North to ap-proximately 1600 North. A petition of those people who would approve annexation of their properties into the city was presented. It was noted that if only these properties were an-nexed there are several pennsulas of county areas created and that sub-sequent annexation of adjoining properties could be difficult. The council voted to meet with the effec-ted property owners on Tuesday, December 26th at 7 a.m. to review this matter. The annexation request for proper-ty located on 900 West from the state highway on the south to 1100 north on the north was reviewed. To effect this annexation certain properties would be forced to come into the city. The council discussed this with several property owners who were present and agreed to meet on Tuesday, December 26th at 8 p.m. to meet with the property owners and to explain what annexation would mean to these people.
