People must have a helping hand to find their way through the maze of voluntary and public service agencies. Two of Information and Referral Service's major goals are: 1 linking people in need with the appropriate agency or service designed to eliminate or alleviate that need; 2 assist in long range county planning processes by discovering gaps, overlaps, and duplications in services. ser-vices. The ultimate responsibility of Information Infor-mation and Referral is to work actively for the adequate provision of service to those in need in the county, and towards an enhancement enhan-cement of the quality of life for all its citizens. During 1977-78, Utah County Information and Referral Service handled over 3,000 calls. It's expected that this year those calls will practically double, averaging around 450 calls per month.
