Show Funeral Rites Held Wednesday for Carl A. Pack Funeral services for Carl Alford Pack, 62, were held Wednesday, January 4, at 1:00 p.m. in the Alpine First Ward Chapel, under the direction direc-tion of Bishop Robert E. Wilcox. He died Saturday, Dec. 31, 1977 in American Fork. Speakers at the services were Bishop Lynn C. Broad-bent Broad-bent and President Merlin B. Larson, and BishopRobert E. Wilcox, who conducted the services, also gave remarks. A life sketch was given by Trevor Sou they. Vocal numbers were given by Niles Halley, accompanied by Iris Bullock and by George and Bessie Rasmussen, accompanied ac-companied by Margaret Vance. Van-ce. Louise Whitby read a poem. Prayers were given by Steven H. Walker, James Grimes and Paul C. Pack, and the grave, in the Alpine City Cemetery, was dedicated by Marvin D. Pack. Pallbearers were Carl A. Pack Jr., Wayne R. Pack, Dale C. Pack.Vaughan D. Pack, Marvin D. Pack, David E. Cottle, Steven H. Walker, Van Vance and Nathaniel Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Darin W. Pack, Brett D. Pack and Jeffery D. Cottle. Carl Alford Pack was born April 6, 1915 in Hinckley, Millard County, to Clarence and Estell Mikesell Pack. He married Ellen Amelia Dun-sdom, Dun-sdom, Oct. 13, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He drove bus for the Alpine School District for 30 years. He as also been a ceramic tile contractor, plasterer and fruit farmer. He was active in the LDS Church, serving as high priest group leader and Sunday Sun-day School Superintendent. Survivors include his wife, Alpine; five sons and three daughters, Carl A. Pack Jr., Wa3me R. Pack, Dale C. Pack, Vaughn D. Pack, Marvin D. Pack and Larraine Pack, all of Alpine; Mrs. David (Lois) Cottle, Cot-tle, Brigham City; Mrs. Steven (Leona) Walker, An-cortes, An-cortes, Wash.; 17 grandchildren, gran-dchildren, three brothers and five sisters, Paul C. Pack, Eldon A. Pack, LaVon Pack and Mrs. Parley (Wynona) Christiansen, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Elmer (Elaine) Capps, Van Nuys, Calif.; Mrs. A. L. (Afton) Bossa, Springfield, Va.; Mrs. Rae Murphy and Mrs. Harold (Veda) Robbins, Whittier, Calif. One sister, Mrs. Vivian Burgner, preceded him in death. |
