Last Season Game Friday at Timpview, Vikings Will Play in State Tournament was figured to finish around 7th place in the Region 6 standings. Season Ends Friday Pleasant Grove will finish its regular season on Friday at Timpview. This should be a close game, but will not effect the Vikings tourney standing. If they lose they will be 8-- for the season, but I think they will win and end up 9-- Statistics Pleasant Grove 60: Atwood 5 13: Keate 6 1 3: Howe 2 1 0: Walker 6 13; Ratliff 4 11; Peay 0 0. Totals 24 60. Cedar City: Graf 8 17; Hartling 0 2; Walker 1 4; Hatch 7 14; Cox 1 6; Sandberg 0 0; Sawyer 2 5; Slack 0 0; Leavitt 0 0; Totals 19 48. The Vikings beat the Cedar City Redmen 60-4- 8 last Friday, and Coach Keith Allred said that they played good defense, which saved the game for them. The Viking defense forced 26 turnovers in the game which was the big reason for the win. They weren't really up to their usual offense. The Vikings held leads of 12-- 8 and 25-1- 6 at the quarter and half, and led 39-2- 4 with three minutes left in the third quarter. It was here that Cedar City charged, and the quarter en ded 39-3- as the Redmen scored eight straight. In the final quarter the Viking defense rose to the challenge, and the offense got going again, with 21 points for the final quarter. The Viking offense was balanced as At-wood, Keate and Walker all got 13 and Ratliff and Howe had 11 and 10. Peay saw some action, but failed to score.
