Show Public Clearings Set Public ESeaivh Issue DENVER Day-long public pub-lic hearings on the National Health Insurance (NHI) issue will be conducted by Federal officials Oct. 20, 1977, in Salt Lake City, Utah and in Richfield, Rich-field, Utah Oct. 21, 1977. The meetings, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, are part of a series of public hearings to be held during Oct. in each of the six states comprising Region VIII. The regional public hearings are in conjunction with a nationwide outreach project to solicit public comment com-ment as an aid to the Administration Ad-ministration in drafting a National Health Insurance proposal, which is expected to be submitted to the Congress early next year. In Salt Lake City, the hearing will be held in the Bonneville Room No. 2 in the Hotel Utah, South Temple and Main. The Richfield hearing site willbe in the District Court room 115 in the Sevier County Courthouse, Cour-thouse, 250 North Main St. Both meetings will being at 9 a.m. Verbal or written testimony is acceptable. Those deisiring definite times scheduled to present testimony should contact Marvin Mortimeyer, District Manager, Social Security District Office, 461 South 4th St. Salt Lake City, Utah 84404. Telephone No. is 1-524-5300 for the Salt Lake meeting. Contact the Social Security office in Provo to schedule testimony at the Richfield meeting. Unscheduled testimony will be accepted also, but a limit of 10 minutes may be imposed im-posed on verbal testimony. |
