Show Young Couple Exchange Vows Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Bezzant announce the marriage of their daughter, Eva Jean and Eugene Oliver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd P. Oliver of American Fork. The young couple exchanged vows in the First ward recreation hall in a candlelight ceremony with Bishop Ertman Christensen officiating. The wedding party stood before a background of gorgeous gladioli glad-ioli and ferns, over which lighted candelbra cast a warm glow. The bride entered the hall on the arm of her father who gave her in mariage, while the wedding march was played by the brides aunt Mrs. Aileen Johnson and the bridal party followed. The bride was attractively gowned gown-ed in white slipper satin. Her fingertip fin-gertip veil of French illusion fell from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of white glads and red roses. Her maid of honor was her siste Darlene, who was gowned in green while the bridesmaids, Doreen Oliver, Geniel Judd, : Elva Nelson and Janice Smith wore pink and blue formals and all carried bouquets of glads and roses. Floyd Oliver performed the duties dut-ies of best man. The pretty little flower girls, Linda Phelps, and Charlene Johnson were clad in yellow yel-low formals and carried nosegays of asters and sweetpeas. The young ringbearer was Bobby Bob-by Ray Phelps. After the ceremony the bridal couple, their parents and attendants attend-ants received relatives and friends. Ushers were Morrell Olson, Rex I Berry, Bruce Stephens and Ewell I Chadwick. William C. Smith was master of I ceremonies and after the bridal march introduced the following I program numbers. Toast to the bridal couple, Milton Mil-ton Johnson an uncle of the bride; vocal solo "Because" by Doreen Oliver; a loval solo, "Forever and Ever, Mildred Johnson, a reading by Lila Judd. Dancing completed the evening's festivities. The unusual gift disulay was cared for and arranged by Melva Cooper and Mildred Johnson, assisted as-sisted by Colleen Cooper and Lucille Lu-cille Johnson, who received gifts at the door. Mervene Blair and Deann Cooper Coop-er handled the guest book. Refreshments were served in the relief society hall where the long table held a centerpiece of asters flanked by white candles in crystal cry-stal holders. Here Lucille Hillman and Alta Thomas were in charge. Serving were Norma Johnson, Elaine El-aine Cooper and Ludeane Bezzant. The newlyweds will make their home in Pleasant Grove. |
