Show Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Riley Jensen Funeral services for Phillips Riley Jensen, were held Tuesday, Tues-day, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. in the Lindon Ward Chapel, under the direction of Mack R. Oster-gaard, Oster-gaard, counselor in the Lindon Ward Bishopric. Mr. Jensen died at the Utah Valley Hospital Hos-pital last Saturday, as the result re-sult of an automobile accident in Provo Canyon early Saturday Satur-day morning. Speaker at the services was Bishop John P. Fugal, and remarks re-marks were given by Bishop Tyler H. Rogers. A life sketch was given by Lucille Hansen. Musical numbers were given by the BYU 86th Ward Choir, a violin solo by Mark Jasinski, accompanied by Carla Brandau and a sextet also sang, Rosanne Blake, Vicki Barney, Cristy Whearley, Dee Ann Crosland, Eloise Godfrey, Denise Van-Gorder Van-Gorder accompanied by Diane Crosland. Family prayer was given by George Crossley, and Howard Jen-sen gave the invocation. The benediction was pronuon-ced pronuon-ced by Robert Kirk, and the grave was dedicated in the Brigham City Cemetery by Clifford Clif-ford Bingham. Pallbearers were John Lehi Jensen, Chester Lawrence Jensen Jen-sen Jr., David Bingham, Greg Garfield, and honorary pallbearers pall-bearers were Roger Blain and Hansen, Steven Pett, David Jens P. Fugal. Mr. Jensen was born Sept. 25, 1934 in Huntington Park, Calif., a son of Chester L. and Amy Lee Phillips Jensen. He lived in Banning, Calif., Salt Lake City, and later Lindon, Lin-don, and attended school in those areas. In 1963 he graduated grad-uated from Pleasant Grove High School, and four year LDS Seminary. He filled an LDS mission to Southern California Cal-ifornia and later graduated from the Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. At the time of his death he was a member of the BYU 86th LDS Ward. He had been employed em-ployed at Parking System, Inc., Orem, and Galigher Co., Salt Lake City and at the BYU. He is survived by his parents, par-ents, two brothers and a sister, John Lehi Jensen, Provo; Chester Ches-ter Lawrence Jensen, Concord, Calif., and Amy Lee Jensen, Lindon. |
