Show Utah Pheasant Hunting Opens Saturday for 9 to 30 Days The Utah pheasant hunt varies var-ies in length from nine to 30 days this fall according to the season set by the Wildlife Board. Salt Lake and Utah Counties will have nine days of pheasant pheas-ant hunting dated Nov. 13-21. All other counties are open on Nov. 13-28 for 16 days. State and Federal lands may be hunted hun-ted 30 days from Nov. 13 thru Dec. 12. Specific restrictions or closures may be imposed by individual landowners or administering ad-ministering agencies. A special provision allows any private landholders or group of londholders to post their land open to pheasant hunting as an extension of the regular season. They may extend ex-tend the season on their land up to the. full 30 days specified for State and Federal lands. No private landowner may post land open to hunting beyond Dec. 12. Persons desiring to extend the season on their property may do so by posting appropriate appro-priate signs with the words "Open to Pheasant Hunting by Permission" or Open to Pheasant Pheas-ant Hunting." Signs must be placed no further apart than 600 feet along the boundary and on all corners, lanes, and gates gat-es on the property being extended. exten-ded.
