Show THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1971 PLEASANT GROVE REVIEW, PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1971 A F Hospital Trying to Cut Costs The American Fork Hospital took another step forward this past week in its cost cutting campaign. Mrs. Florence Ad-ams, Registered Nurse, was presented with a 15.00 check by Miss Turley Barker, R.N., and chairman of the Hospital's Em-ployee Council. The suggestion made by Mrs. Adams was to put a small pap-er cup dispenser in each patient room to reduce the number of steps taken by the nurses. The saggestion was passed upon by the Hospital Administratiae Council. In order to reduce hospital costs, each employee has been encouraged to submit sugges tions so the hospital may be-come more efficient in its oper-ations. At the same time em-ployees may earn an extra $5 for each suggestion that is ac-cepted. As hospital equipment, sup-plies, and personnel costs con-tinue to increase, it is impera-tive that new methods be de-veloped to reduce operating ex-penses. The American Fork Hospital Employee Suggestion program will be a vital aid in controlling these costs. The Hospital seeks to serve the cit-izens of North Utah County by improving patient care and holding the amount of hospital bills to a minimum.
