By the end of 1972, the company expects to be at producing a rate of more than 600 mil-lion pounds on an annual basis. S-oeie-m Fireman Auxiliary Hold November Meeting at Station The Fireman's Ladies Aux-iliary met Monday, Nov. 22 with Eberle Smith, president, welcoming the ladies and also guests. Minutes from the September meeting were read by Annette Mills, secretary. Sandra Newman welcomed a special guest, Beth Barrett of a beauty shop. She gave the ladies pointers on charm, skin care and how to be a lovelier woman. Christmas decorations were shown by Velma Robbins. Refreshments were served by Velma Robbins and Sandra Newman. Edith S. Madsen 80th Birthday Open House Dec 5 Honoring her 80th birthday, Edith S. Madsen will be hosted at an open house Sunday, Dec. 5, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Central Utah Convalescent Cen-ter, 575 East 1400 South in Or-e- Utah. Mrs. Madsen was born in Salt Lake City, Dec. 2, 1891, a dau-ghter of Moroni M. and Anna M. Sheets. She was married on Sept. 17, 1913 to David H. Mad-sen, who was the State Fish and Game Commissioner. Mrs. Madsen lived in Lake-vie- Utah County, and later in American Fork, until Mr. Mad--' sen died in 1963. She then mov-ed to Pleasant Grove, where she is a member of the Grove Ward. Mrs. Madsen is a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and she has received a certifi-cate from the state for her work at the Training School. She is the mother of one son, Guy Warren Madsen. La Premivera Club Has Meeting On November 19 Friday evening, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m. the members of the La Pramivera Club met at the home of Eilene Johnson with Shirley Pyper and Eilene as Mary Kaye Smith, club pres-ident, welcomed those mem-bers present and discussed the club business. The evening was spent by each member of the club crea-ting a unique Christmas cor-sage. A variety of material was supplied such as a miniature reindeer, Santa, pixies, holly, and poinsettas to make each corsage different. The girls then shared their Christmas ideas of something they had made either for decor-ating or for Christmas gifts. Refreshments were served, and those present besides those already mentioned were Anita Phillips, Susan Hunt Nyla Wil-kinson, Cindy Sutch, Shirley Austin, Renae Knapp, Karia Johnson, Karm Cook, Shanna Welcker, and Dianne Adam-son- . MISS NILA TURNER Nila Turner and Val Phelps to Wed on Friday, Dec. 10, Reception Slated Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Turner of Pleasant Grove are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Nila to Val Phelps, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Maddox of Amer-ican Fork, and Mr. J. M. Phelps of Las Vegas. The wed-ding and reception will be held at the Galerie Reception Cen-ter in American Fork on Fri-day, December 10. Miss Turner is a 1971 grad-uate of Pleasant Grove High, where she was active in dra-ma. She also graduated from the four-yea- r LDS Seminary -- program. She has been attending Coll-ege of Southern Utah at Ced-ar City. Mr. Phelps attended Ameri-can Fork High School and has served in the U.S. Army. He is now employed in Orem. The couple will make their first home in American Fork. Caballeros 4--H Riding Club Elects Officers The Caballeros 4--H Riding Club reorganized for 1972 re-cently. Meetings were held at the home of Janeen Runolfson, leader, and the following new officers elected: Monica Liston, president; Gary Moore, vice president; Suzanne Smith, secretary; Sandra John-son, reporter, and Patricia Schow will be junior leader. Other members include Suz-anne Ackerman, Chris Biggs, Leslie Blackham, Greg John-son, Darin and Dale Major, Bart Peacock and Liz Adams. The calendar for the new year will include programs on different breeds of horses and a leather project. Thanksgiving Visitors Enjoying Thanksgiving at the B. J. Black home were their children Mr. and Mrs. Tom Black and three children from Aurora, Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Black and baby girl from Denver, Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Slater and three sons from American Fork Steven and Sonja McCausland. Sonja is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brent McCausland of Federal Way, Vashington. The McCausland's two littlf boys are staying with grandpar-ents, Mr; and Mrs. Robert Mc- Causland in Pleasant Grove. Colleen has been seriously ill and was not able to come home at this time. Lindon PTA Meets Friday, Asks for Parents Support The Lindon PTA would ap-preciate the support of the par-ents in making our school a bet-ter place for our children to learn. If you as parents have any ideas or suggestions along this line, we encourage you to attend our meetings on Friday, Dec. 3, at 3:30 p.m. The Lindon PTA will also meet the first Friday of every month until school is over, and parents are invited to come out to these meetings. D.U.P. Christmas Party Set for Lehi on Friday The ' North 4 Utah County Daughters of Utah Pioneers Christmas Party will be held in Lehi 5th Ward Chapel, Fri-day, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. All members of the North Utah Camps are invited and a special Christmas program has been planned. County officers are Velma Comer, Captain, Pearl McMill-an and Mary Peterson, vice captains. Lindon DUP Camp to Meet Next Friday -- Lindon Camp Daughters of Utah Pioners will meet next Friday, Dec. 10 at 12:30 p.m. at the Dorthella Blanchard home. Anyone needing a ride should contact Donna Greaves, 785-428- 1 or Colleen Keetch, 785-324- 8. , Christmas caroling and pot-luc- k lunch for all of the mem-bers and their daughters is planned.
