Show Lindon Lighter TOPS Elect New Officers, Hold Several Activities New officers of the Lindon Lighter Tops Club were installed install-ed the first of April. New president pres-ident is Paulette Rawlings and co-leader is Doris Ford. Una Crystal is secretary, Emma Houghton treasurer and Carolyn Caro-lyn Davis reporter and photographer. photog-rapher. Betty Clark is the new weight recorder with Elaine Johnson as assistant. Ilia Brown is the Pig Penalties chairman. On April 23 Mrs. LuDean Barton and Mrs. Darlene 01-sen 01-sen of the Pleasant Grove Tops spoke to the club. They gave us an interesting and enthusiastic enthus-iastic attitude about reaching our goals and staying there. Those of the Lindon Club at- tending State Recognition Day on April 25 were Doris Ford, Una Crystal, Paulette Rawlings Phyllis Penrod, Emma Houghton, Hough-ton, Erlene Hansen, Loreen Hall, Bonnie Anderson, Devon-na Devon-na Nielsen and Carolyn Davis. Tops members from all over the state met at Hillcrest High School to honor the Queens from each chapter. Bonnie Anderson An-derson was the Lindon Tops Queen. Mrs. Phyllis Penrod graduated graduat-ed as a KOPS. The Lindon Club is proud of her, and they hope to have a larger representation representa-tion of KOPS next year. At the state meeting, it was stated that the Utah Tops Clubs lost a total of 40,067y2 pounds, which is about 20 tons lost in 1969. On April 30 the Tops of Lindon Lin-don held a KOPS shower for Bety Clark, who has reached and maintained her goal for 3 months. The club meets Thursdays at 12:30 at the Lindon City building. There is a baby sitter provided for those who have pre-schoolers. |
