Show Cheri Peay Chosen FFA Sweetheart At PI. Grove High Cheri Peay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Peay, has been adjudged Sweetheart of the Future Farmers of America Amer-ica (FFA) at Pleasant Grove High School and will enter the State FFA contest in February The blonde, 15-year old sophomore soph-omore was selected from 12 contestants on the basis of skills and popularity. Three girls were chosen from each of the four classes. They included inclu-ded freshman Pam Duke, Charlene Hooley and Alana Marchbanks, Sophomores Cindy Cin-dy Patch, Cheri Peay, and Roxan Einerson; Juniors Janie Morehead, Melisa Patch and Jeanne Chornick; and Seniors Anne Shifrer, Connie Edwards and Marsha Parker. The girls competed in apron making, cake baking, tractor driving, straw stacking, and cow milking contests. Finalists were Pam, Cheri, Janie and Anne. Final selection was determined deter-mined by vote at the annual FFA dance, sponsored by the FFA Chaper members. Their instructor - adviser is Wayne Cornaby. |
