Show Funeral Services Set Saturday for Margaret Barney Funeral services for Margaret Margar-et C. Barney, 90, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Third-Sixth Ward Chapel. Mrs. Barney died Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 12:20 p.m. in the American Ameri-can Fork Hospital of causes incident to age. Friends may call at the Olpin Family Mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Saturday prior to services. Mrs. Barney was born Jan. 21, 1878 in Kanosh, a daughter of Thomas and Jane Freeman Charlesworth. She married Victor H. Barney on Nov. 21, 1895 in Fillmore. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. Mr. Barney died Dec. 21, 1949. Mrs. Barney was an active LDS Church worker, serving as Relief Society president, a visiting teacher for 40 years, and with the Singing Mothers for many years. Survivors include sons and daughters, Paul, American Fork; Victor Eugene, Eskil, and Mrs. Naina King, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Eldean Huggard, Mrs. Charles (La-Priel) (La-Priel) Webb, both of American Fork and Mrs. Carl (Rayma) Green, Creighton, Neb. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandehild. A sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Aurilla Penny, Kanosh, Kan-osh, also survives. |
