Show architects now preparing health center plans early blue prints will mean alean fall construction plans for the new district 5 health center were thoroughly discussed at a meeting tuesday night when architects ashton evans and braller of salt lake city presented tentative sketch es of the medical center to 0 the local sponsors A few suggested changes were made in the first draft and the architects now are preparing a complete blue print chairman of the sevier county c commissioners ray hay buchanan stated thai as aa soon as the plan plans are completed work will begin immediately in hopes that as much as possible of the modern modem center can be constructed before cold weather sets in the plans call for a 38 by 08 98 foot cement block building which will be located just west and on a line with the sevier valley li hospi on F fifth ft north orth street in richfield ich field the pathological laboratory will be a main feature of the building but it will also be 0 equipped with offices for public health workers and nurses lavatories a reception room a maternity and child health clinic consultation sul tation rooms and an auditorium that will seat 60 people although the health center will be used by all of the counties in public health district number 5 sev sevier er county is the local sponsor and will pay two thirds of the local particia partI participating cIp abing funds with richfield city paying the other third the state and federal goy ern ments will each put up one dollar for one dollar of local funds spent at first it was estimated that the new center would cost approximately but that figure has been scaled down to and thus local cost will be lessened at the meeting besides the architects were the sevier county commissioners richfield ma mayor norman J holt D H ten burg public health doctor R H wilson and dan manning manager of the sevier valley hospital |
