Show reinstate insurance telephone drive to notify veterans of deadline with less than two weeks remaining before the july 31 expiration pi ration date for veterans to reinstate lapsed G I 1 insurance the utah state department of cf veterans vet C rans affairs this week commenced a state wide telephone drive seeking to reinstate Is as much lapsed life insurance a as possible before the deadline date state director ed T obrien explained that seven district service officers covering some 60 utah communities are telephoning as many utah war II 11 veterans wives and dependants as possible advising them of the impending deadline to reinstate G 1 I insurance and requesting that the veteran determine if his insurance policy is still in force and if it has lapsed urging him to reinstate the insurance or that portion thereof that he can afford to carry mr obrien stated that veterans service officers will gladly come to the home of any utah G I 1 after hours to accommodate the veteran and explain the procedure necessary to protect this most valuable G 1 I right early reports through july 10 indicated that approximately 1 in G 1 I life insurance would be reinstated through the drive this however will still leave nearly live five out of seven utah war veterans unprotected over of the war II 11 veterans in utah have dropped lapsed or cancelled their G 1 I insurance mr obrien added that will the extension for term insurance provided by the last congress ex G Is can purchase maximum protection at the cheapest rates in america he urged every G I 1 whose insurance has lapsed to reinstate it before july 31 |
