Last year be was a sensation with Little Hock of the Southern league and big league scouts came bidding for him. Including Includ-ing President Bob Quinn's representative. Little Rock raised the price and all the scouts moved out, leaving him eligible elig-ible for the draft, and Connie Mack took him. In January Mack decided he didn't need another outfielder and asked waivers on hlin so he could be sent back to Little Rock. At this point Qulnn stepped In again and got bun at tbe waiver price, decidedly de-cidedly cheap. |
