| Show DOINGS AT SCHOOL the dixie junior college presented the opera the gondoliers Gondo liers at the parowan carowan high school wednesday afternoon to a 1 large audience of students and townspeople almost one hundred students from the dixie institution took too part in the opera and played with the accompanying orchestra including three former students of the local school pearl matheson joyce adams and reva hyatt who are now attending that school the opera was presented under the direction of professor mcallister with the aid of orchestra director mr blake and miss henderson of the dixie college dru matic department glenn E snow president of the college came up with the students and visited with many of his friends here after the performance the basketball boys were defeated again wednesday night in the P H S gym by delta the score being 49 16 only about half of the squad played because of if sickness and ineligibility beaver will play ball here tonight dee dec 15 and milford december 22 which will end the practice gamss games for the season the league games will start after the first of the year after the game friday december 22 the student body is sponsoring a dance A good crowd should be in attendance at the game and dance and prove to our boys that we are behind them them and lost faith in them even though they been very successful so far you are also asked to support our student body dance a and n d reveal your you christmas spirit school will let out on dec for the christmas holidays quite a number of students have been absent from school due to the in influenza that is going around |
