Show B A AC C STUDENTS T TO aber REGISTER SEP SEPTEMBER 16 registration at the branch agricultural ri college will begin sat aurady september 16 according tp director henry with instruction in all departments commencing the following monday director Olier hansley announces that relatively few changes have been made in the faculty this year out but that a num number berof of new instructors have been appointed to replace teachers who have been granted leaves of absence or who have resigned two regular members or tle the faculty will be away for advanced study this year hazen cooley secretary and grant H redford instructor in speech mr cooley plans to leave for stanford university in september while away he will be replaced by wayne L bennion chairman of the division of business mr redford bedford is already in iowa where he is doing advanced work at the state university his work will be handled by a new instructor miss vera chadwick and by ray B west jr miss chadwick is a speech major from the U S A C where she has also acted as librarian in the childrens library for the past two years she lias las been doing postgraduate post graduate work I 1 in library science this summer I 1 in denver colorado and she will also serve as librarian at the p A C other new teachers are theron ashcroft laveve anat am mildred bowers mr ashcroft will replace everett larson in the department part ment of engineering lie he lias has been with the soil conservation service for several years and is a graduate of the U S A C miss petty was formerly in charge of rily physical education at une kie overton nevada high school she is is from nephi and is a graduate of the U S A C miss bowers is a graduate of the university of utah and columbia university she will replace miss naomi barlow in the foods department professor william manning head of the division of music returned recently from the U university ni ol 01 wisconsin where he conducted a music clinic for the fourth consecutive year miss francis knott chairman of the division of home economics returned froma years I 1 study at the graduate school of re tailing at new york university while there she was honored by an invitation to join the honorary retailing fraternity eta ela mu pi other members of the faculty who were away for advance study durin during 9 the summer lre are wayne L 1 bennion alan ramsey mary bastow and howard B linford scarlet fever whooping cough and german measles a also I 1 s 0 climbed slightly chickenpox Chicken pox pneumonia typhoid fever and undulant fever showed decreases there were no new cases of diphtheria or tularemia reported 0 sixteen of the 29 counties of the state including iron county and aprice price and cedar city reported no diseases for the week |
