| Show WEEKLY REPORT OF STATE HEALTH BOARD A noticeable drop in the number ot of cases of diphtheria was the outstanding feature of the communicable disease report tor for the week ending november 12 released today by dr william al mckay 1 director I of 0 the division of communicable disease control at the utah state slate board of health only 54 I 1 cases were reported this week compared with during the week ending november 5 the report this week shows cases of communicable disease as compared with for last week a decrease orf at 31 cases decreases were reported in the number ot of cases at art poliomyelitis measles smallpox and whooping cough and increases in the number of 0 cases of chicken chickenpox pox influenza mumps pneumonia scarlet fever and tuberculosis the only counties making no reports this week were daggett san juan and grand crand only incomplete reports however were received from box elder cache duchesne iron utah washington and wayne counties no health department state slate or local dr mckay writes can effectively prevent or control diseases without knowledge of when where and under what circumstances cases are occurring it is imperative therefore he says that local health officers make their reports to the state department of health on an time and complete |
