Show 1 DAIRY CO MUST COMPLY WITH STATE BOARD ORDERS the following letter received by the southern utah dairy co here I 1 from the stale board ot of agriculture Is published at the dairy com coin P anys request so that patrons will understand what Is the matter when their milk cans are returned without whey within the next few days mr adams manager of the company states that it if patrons want whey they will have to come 1 after it and if 11 they dont come after it other ways of 0 disposing of oe it will have to be found the letter Is us as follows salt lake city june 14 1937 on may hlay we sent you a a communication muni cation from this department to tile the effect that a recent amendment to section 3 10 23 prohibits the use of milk cans or containers which are used to contain dairy products tor for the transportation of whey or other contaminating products we stated in this letter as you I 1 will remember that we recognized lio necessity of some time being al 1 lowed tor for each company to provide for handling the whey in a manner to comply with the law also wo we requested that you provide these facilities without undue delay it Is nearly three months since the law became effective and ws we feel that all companies concerned should be prepared at this time to comply with it you are hereby notified therefore that from this date on we will expect full compliance with the provisions of this law yours very truly guy P stevens chief inspector dairy and food division |
