particular it i big success weather conditions were ideal as a result of which many former residents ot of parowan carowan Pa rowan and many liany people from our neighboring able to be in attendance and to enjoy the celebration with us at sunrise on oil the morning 0 of the thirteenth a volley of cannons was firca as a reminder to all within tho the valley ot of the time when those sturdy pioneers of three quarters of a century ago came to this city flags were also raised at the same hour meeting in the mornin morning at eleven the same morning a public meeting was held in the lie selection by band contest singing in which six groups competed the honors going to the sixth group which sang silver threads among the gold cold prayer offered by peter guymon ot of provo following the program group picnic was enjoyed by everyone dances each evening after afler the pageant dances were held both in the opera house ind and the school auditorium neither place being largo large
