| Show ARROWHEAD TRAIL PRIMARY HIGHWAY state road commissions decision decicio i requires only highway chief 3 approval means good road for us fears that parowan carowan might one day be cut off from the main highway running north and south through utah was dispelled by the announcement announcement on december by the state road commission that the arrowhead trail as it now exists shall be the primary federal state highway running north and south through this state efforts have been made in the past pa st to divert the main road both west and east of us and much concern has been felt lest some day the road might be diverted near scipio to go by way of delta milford minersville Miners ville and into cedar city but with its designation as a primary federal state highway which waits only the federal highway chiefs ap of the state commissions recommendation the possibility for the roads missing us has vanished under the provisions of the recent federal highway bill which requires the designation of primary and secondary roads through each state the government will match us approximately three to one in the construction of primary roads there is now available for expenditure on the arrowhead trail through this county about which means that with three times that much from the government we shall have representative days opinion which is shared by many other prominent citizens is that this county should make available at least or so that or can be expended in the near future on that road |
