C Hess who has been a prisoner prisoner prisoner pris pris- oner of war since Aug 24 1967 Mr Hess an Air Force pilot was shot down in enemy enemy enemy en en- emy territory and is is presently present present- ly in a prisoner of war camp campin in Hanoi Major Hess is is the son of Newell E E. E and the late Alta Criddle Griddle Hess of Farmington He writes that he is welland well welland welland and has received several parcels from home Mrs Hess is the former Marjorie Burnett daughter of Mr and Mrs K W. W Burnett of oC Emigration Canyon They have five children Jay attended school in Farmington and graduated from Davis high rugh school in Kaysville He also attended BYU University of Utah and Weber college Newell Hess is now married married married mar mar- ried to Lenore and they live at West Vest Center in Bountiful During the past week he has also received a letter from his rus hisson son Mrs Hess wishes to express express express ex ex- press her gratitude to the many friends and relatives of Jay who have shown much concern during the long period period period per per- iod of time that he has been t reported ed missing |
