| Show i i o te t B By SHERYL BOHN BOUN 1859 Merrill Flinders son ofEarl ofEarl of ofEarl Earl and Mary Ila lIa Flinders who is in the service and stationed at Camp Pendleton Calif received a surprise visit from his parents brother and sister Brian and Ilene and his wife wiCe Caroline on April 19 They went to his graduation from boot camp on the Merrill was one of six to advance to a Private First Class He should be home on furlough May 22 If his furlough is for 30 days he will likely go to Vietnam but if he is given only 20 days he will not noth h have ve to go to the war zone Under the direction of Jim Merrill the First Ward MIA presented a one-act one play on April 27 and 28 On May 2 it was presented at the ward budget banquet The name of the play was The Laughing Ghost and those participating ing were Laureen Egnew Caroline Flinders John Grant LuAnn Hawkes Gary Howe Lee Ann and Sidney Sidney Sidney Sid Sid- ney The IIA in the Fifth Ward has been reorganized The MIA president is Elaine Hout with counselors Carol Chapman and Janice Castle- Castle ton We extend sympathy to LaRetta LaRetta La- La Retta Retla Corbridge whose sister Melba Scrivner of Calif died last week LaRetta made the trip by plane spending spending spending spend spend- ing five days there with her family We extend get well wishes to Gertrude Roberts who is in the South Davis hospital for foot surgery Lee Francis son of Kenneth and Beryl Francis has spent several days visiting with his folks He is from San Francisco Francis Francis- co and is a copilot for fa l' l United Air Lines We welcome several families families families fam fam- who have moved into our community recently Billand Billand Bill Billand and Rachel who have moved from Bountiful and live at Parrish Lane They have six children Rae RaeAnn RaeAnn RaeAnn Ann 14 Bruce 13 Byron 11 David 10 Gerald 9 and Mary Ann 4 Bill is employed by the University of Utah printing press We also welcome Gordon and Noreen Wilson who have moved into the former Grant Hipwell home at North East They have been living in Farmington for the past few months waiting for their new home to be built but are formerly from Mantica Mantica Mantica Man- Man tica Calif They have four children Suanne 10 Beth 9 Kent 5 and Lori 3 Gordon works for the Western Pacific Pacific Pacific Pa Pa- Railroad Charles and Geraldine Shafer Shafer Shafer Sha- Sha fer who have moved here from Ottumwa Iowa and are formerly from Oregon They have four teenagers Rickie Ann 19 is a freshman in college college college col col- col- col lege in Iowa and will be home when school is out Cathy 17 Mark 16 and Linda Linda Linda Lin Lin- da 14 Charles works for the Combined Insurance Co On Monday evening of May 4 the five sixth th grade classes of J. J A.
