Show Night Music New club to jazz up Park City evenings All that jazz comes to Park City this week as a new club opens its doors in the Main Street Marketplace. Jimmy Reed is the owner of the musical dining spot, the Jazz Pantry, and the pianist for its in-house jazz group. The club will open today, Jan. 16, on the second floor of the mall and will be open every night except Sunday and Monday. Mon-day. A nucleus of musicians Reed on piano, John Nusleim on bass and ocalist Diane Stewart will be joined join-ed Irom time to time by a saxophonist sax-ophonist or a drummer Live jazz entertainment is scheduled every Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., every Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 and Friday Fri-day and Saturday nights from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Here are some other night spots where you can be with the beat or dine in three-quarter time. Zach's Grill: Don Elliot plays the guitar and sings on Tuesday, Thursday Thurs-day and Saturday night at Zach's at '.the Park City Ski Area. Rusty Nail: Park City's own Swede Alley Band will be on the bandstand at the Nail at the Park City Ski Area Friday and Saturday night. The doors open at 8: 30 p.m. Columbine Dinner Club: Ren Anderton and Claudia Ward take turns tickling the ivories at the Columbine Col-umbine at The Resort Center. Music is part of the bill of fare from 7 to 10. Raja Canlina: Thursday is Locals' Night at the Baja, a Mexican restaurant at the Park City Ski Area. Amateur musicians are in-v in-v ited to play from 9 p.m. to closing. On Friday. Saturday and Sunday night from 8:30 to 12:30, Don Ruffato plays the guitar and sings. Down Under: Folk singer Kat lames performs at the Down Under flub in the Claimjumper restaurant and hotel Wednesday through Saturday Satur-day night from 9 to midnight. Sneakers: Marty Espkowski plays Hie guitar and sings at the Sneakers club in the Park Meadows Racquet ' lull every Friday and Saturday night from 7 to 10-. Legacy Social Club: David LaFlamme will appear at the Legacy Jan. Hi. 17 and 18. New Spain will play rock n' roll Jan. 19 through Grub Steak: Diners can enjoy guitar music from a soloist or a duo every Wednesday through Saturday night beginning at 7 at the Grub Steak restaurant in Prospector square. Zephyr Club: The Park City-based Dr. Bob Band will perform at the Zephyr 300 South and West Temple in Salt Lake City on Jan. 21. |
