Among the programs and events of the Founder's Week celebration, which will be the focal point of Park City's centennial year, are various ski events for all residents, including a soda pop slalom for kids, Green said. Among the other scheduled events that week are a snow sculpture contest, a monstrous mon-strous birthay cake, the dedication of the museum in historic City Hall and the Centennial Ball, Green said. Green said that beyond progress reports on the various centennial projects, the Executive Committee entertained proposals for more commercial projects that would like to bear the official Park City centennial logo. Among those, Green said, were T-shirts, golf shirts, sweatshirts and an official Park City centennial belt buckle. Projects wishing wish-ing endorsement of the city's centennial must be cleared through the Executive Committee, he said. More sponsors and volunteers volun-teers are needed if Park City's centennial celebration is to be a success, according to Jack Green, the director of the Centennial Commission's Commis-sion's Executive Committee. Following an executive meeting Tuesday night, Green said that progress was being made on some 30 projects planned for Founder's Week, which takes place March 3-11, but an enormous amount of work remains before the upcoming celebration is readied. "Founder's Week plans are moving along well," Green said, "but the need for more sponsors and volunteers volun-teers is critical." As part of the centennial celebration, a centennial musical review will be presented to residents. The program, which is being written, choreographed and scored locally, will be presented pre-sented a number of times during Founder's Week, Green said.
