Show Cast picked for centennial review Director Richard Jewkes has announced the cast for Park City's centennial review. The production, filled with familiar Park City characters and parody songs, is called "This is THE Place" or "Up the Canyon We'll Build a Zoo." The musical, presented by Park City Performances, will double cast many of the central cen-tral roles. Parley Lamar, the rookie missionary sent to Park City, will be played alternately alter-nately by Moe Mandrell and Wess Rippeon. The cast also features Fred Hightower as Rulon Pratt; Lloyd Stevens as Park Record publisher Sam Raddon; Curt Graf as timeshare salesman Biff Johnson; Maggie Reno and Jackie Craigle as Irma; Debby Rapp and Leslie Luyken as Jennifer; Kathy Johnson and Connie Jean Boyle as Radawn; Bill Tatomer as Semour Bucks; Jossy Sheya and Val Thurnell Thur-nell as The Cop; Bob Toy as Marvin; Madeline Smith as Martha; Colleen Whimmer and Ruth Ann Fitzgerald as Chrissy; Mark La Joieas the Ski Instructor; Larry Sheldon as The Rugby Player; and Kate McCut-chan McCut-chan and Faye Evans as The Waitress. The review opens on Founder's Day, March 8, and continues on March 9. Tentative plans call for the production to play twice a week through April. |
