Show High Rollers can't handle lower elevation All good things have to come to an end, but the members of the High Rollers may be glad the first half of their league soccer season ended this past weekend. The Park City team concluded conclud-ed a dismal fall by going down to defeat at the hands of South Davis 3-2 Saturday inBoutiful. "The last three games involving the Rollers have been lacking in spirit and attendance. Saturday's was no exception, as only 10 Park City players could be fielded for the game. According to Jerry Yeager of the Rollers, the Parkites were ahead 2-1 at the half, but let down in the second half, allowing South Davis to first tie and then move ahead for the win. All three of the South Davis goals, said Yeager, came on breakaways, break-aways, showing defensive lapses. But Yeager said he knew the reason for the Roller loss. "It was the lower elevation that got to us," he said. The team now gets a needed rest before going into the second half of the season next spring. The Rollers' record in league play now stands at 1-4-1. |
