Show Charity Ski event Feb. 5 Win a trip to New Orleans for yourself and a friend by joining the Delta Charity Ski Classic scheduled for Saturday, Satur-day, February 5th at Park City Ski Resort. It's easy! Just pick up your registration form at Delta Air Lines office, KALL Radio studio or call the United Cerebral Palsy office at 582-0700. While participating in this event, you will feel good knowing that the proceeds will benefit United Cerebral Palsy, a leader in recreational recreat-ional therapy programs in Utah. Registration forms are available after January 10th. The sooner you pick up your form, the more time you will have to recruit sponsors for the second most exciting prize of the event - a complete downhill ski package. pack-age. All you need to register is $20, which you can contribute yourself as a tax deductible gift, or ask 111 " iiin 1 1 " v I friends, family and relatives to contribute a few dollars each, until it adds up to the entry fee. Once you get started you'll see just how easy it is and you'll want to try for the ski package, too! Returning again this year to the Delta Charity Ski Race is the handicapped skier's demonstration, sponsored, in part, by the Governor's Committee On Employment Of The Handicapped. The demonstration will include a . wide age range of skiers, as well as. a show of a varietv of handicapped skiing techniques. tech-niques. If you have never witnessed a blind person master the slopes or an amputee taking on moguls, this demonstration is a chance to understand the capabilities of a disabled person. , ; Here's how to get involv ed. Pick up your entry form and turnn it in to the United Cerebral Palsy office., Your race time is determined by the order in which your registration form is received at the United Cerebral Palsy - office in Emigration Canyon. The day of the race bring , your sponsor sheet, entry money and sponsorship mon-; ey. (The top money raising prize winner will be determined deter-mined by the monies that are turned in at the time of the race.) You will then be given your ski pass, good for all slopes, all day, race bib and race time. Anyone who completes the race course , can look forward to the possibility of their name being drawn as the winner of the trip for two to New Orleanns, courtesy of Delta Air Lines. Other prizes to award include a pair of Rossignol Eagle Skis, goggles, gogg-les, powder shirts, dinner certificates and more for the top three finalists of each men's and women's age division, best time overall, best snowplow and the most falls taken in a single run.
