Now, when you get that late-night craving for just one burger with cheese or a nice thick malt (that's right, they have real malts), all you have to do is jump in your car and drive through the new Dairy Queen. (They're open from 7 a.m. to midnight.) Located right accross the street from Park Meadows Plaza, the new eatery offers a lot of things you wouldn't expect to find in a typical fast food place. Starting with breakfast. They have the standard ham, sausage or bacon and egg plate, with either pancakes or hash browns. Or, for something lighter, just sweet rolls and coffee. If you're really in a hurry, there's always ham and egger or sausage and egger sandwiches. sand-wiches. (The new manager, Keith Vries, says he's still working on his free newspaper news-paper idea, but he seems to have picked the wrong time since the Salt Lake papers have discontinued delivery.) For lunch there's always a choice of all those good hamburgers, hot dogs and sandwiches. To say nothing of all the soft ice cream combinations. (everyone should, every once and a while have a lunch of just a banana split.) This Dairy Queen offers, however, a few extras. They have chili, such side dishes as fried mushrooms, mush-rooms, and the biggest drawing card, an all-you-can-eat salad bar for $2.49. In addition, the management manage-ment has tried to upgrade all the items on the menu. Example: real whipped cream on all their ice cream dishes. The restaurant itself does not look like your ordinary, California-style junk food stop-and-go. Its a light and airy, two story, sit-down restaurant. It will seat 109. Its quiet and has music. . So, even if you've sworn off junk food for the rest of your life, you still can find what at the newest restaurant restaur-ant in town. And nobody can say their hours aren't right for them.
