Show Planners Meet, Approve Projects Last week's Planning Commission Com-mission meeting began with a field trip to Silver Lake Knoll II, and was followed by a work session concerning the project, after the formal portion of the meeting commenced, the Commission Commis-sion approved the site specific plan for the development develop-ment which establishes the development density of the Silverlake project. Under Old Business, the Commissioners considered the request by the First Interstate Bank for a conditional condi-tional use permit to allow a new bank with drive-up-window facilities. The commissioners approved the project subject to four conditions: (1) the automated teller must be flush with the building and match the building; (2) the applicant . must work with Holiday Village Associates to bring the project up to code; (3) the eave line of the canopy must not be higher than the same level of adjoining buildings; and (4) a revised circulation of parking must be imple mented. The last condition will come back to the Commission for approval. The second item of Old Business concerned the Sola-mere Sola-mere Tennis Center, which the Commission- approved, subject to three conditions: (1) one-half of the building's main floor area must be used for tennis reservations and a pro shop; (2) the maximum of one-half of the building may be used as an information informa-tion center for one year, and the developers may reapply for one additional year if they so desire; and (3) the tennis courts and landscaping and pro shop building must be constructed all at one time. In the remaining item of Old Business, the Commission Commis-sion approved a revised construction phasing schedule sched-ule for the Queen Esther Condominiums. In the one piece of New Business, the Commission approved the Heber Avenue Condominium project subject sub-ject to working out a solution for a retaining wall at the rear of the condominiums. |
