Pymm said the next meeting of the organization's board of directors has been set for February 7, at which time it is possible a full-time director could be picked. In the meantime, Pymm said the group's membership drive was going "very well." He also noted that the board had placed a full-page four-color ad for Park City in the National Meeting and Guide Magazine. In addition, a similar ad has been placed in the convention packet distirbuted by the Salt lake Valley Convention and Visitors . Bureau, which is sent to all "potential conventions mterested in the state of Utah." Both ads give a listing of facilities available in Park City, and ' 4 why Park City is a good convention site. ' . A representative of the bureau will also be attending the National Tour Brokers convention in Louisville, Kentucky later this month. Pymm also said the group is getting together a proposal to submit to the Summit County Commission, requesting a portion of the 3 percent Transient Room Tax levied by the state on lodge and hotel operations. "For the first twelve months we will be aksing in the neighborhood of $50,000," he said. " '. ' ' |
