Show POLICE BLOTTER nick's minolta gone A $150 Minolta camera was reported stolen on Lincoln's birthday, February 12, from the Main Street Photographer. -Police theorize that the theft, which wasn't reported until several days after it occurred, took place when the camera's owner brought it into the shop to be repaired. The owner reportedly placed it on the counter near the front of the store and an opportunistic thief snatched it while the store's employees were in a back room. repeat performance Windshields of two different vehicles, owned by the same man and parked in the Homestake Condominiums lot, were reportedly shot with BB guns on separate occassions during the last month. Police report that the owner thought damage to the first windshield may have been caused by a fluke accident when first noticed in late January, but-that a repeat performance on Feb. 12 made him suspicious. i.d. gets moderate response Investigative Officer Rob Berry reports a moderate response to the recently initiated Operation ID program to register valuables with the police as insurance against theft. So far, five persons have registered a substantial number of their valuables. |
