Guy-mon of the U. S. Marries, was awarded by the President with a Navy Cross. He was also cited for bringing duplies to and re-moving the sick and wounded from distant and isolated out-posts. Lieut Guymon served ov-erseas with the Marines in the World War, was wounded; in ac-tion and received a Croix dc Gue-rre for his bravery, lie was ap-pointed an officer in the Corps from the state of Utah and he for-merly made his homo with his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth P. Guy-mon at Murray in that State. His citation states in part that the medal was awarded: "For dis-tinguished service in the line of his profession." Mrs. Will Myers will entertain the G. 0. O. 0. elub Friday at lier home on Main Street. Mrs. U. R. Scott entertained in honor of Miss Dorothy Dixon who has been her guest for the ast v.eek. The Fraternal Order of Eagles held a mother's day entertain-ment Monday evening at the Ma-sonic lLall. A very interesting program was held. The students of the Copperfield school enjoyed an outing at Lib-erty Park Tuesday. Mrs. James Denver and son visited friends in Salt Lake Tues-day. Mrs. Gordon Buckle returned Sunday after visiting in Salt Lake for two weeks. Members of the Ladies Civic elub will meet at the home of Mrs. James Nerdin tonight, and Mrs. V. C. Lyon will give a talk on "How the Profits of the Poppy Sale are, Spent." The en-tertainment will be in charge of Mrs. C. L. Countryman and Mrs. Edwin Johnston. Mrs. Wm. S. Dalton entertained the 11. 1L club Thursday after-noon of last week. Miss Audrey Taylor of West-minister College and Howard Bel-lows were dinner uests of Mrs. Bellows Sunday. The east of the M. I.
