Show Top Bicycle Racers Compete This Weekend This race immediately follows fol-lows the State Championships Champion-ships held June 28-30across the nation and promises to attract top talent from coast to coast. Many bicycle related industries in-dustries will be sending their best trade teams: the internationally inter-nationally experienced Raleigh Ral-eigh Industries team, Tele-dyne Tele-dyne Racing Team, Follis Racing Team and the Velo-Club Velo-Club Berkeley Team are a few that will be working together to-gether to place one or more of their riders in the winning spots. The nation's top bicycle racers will be meeting in Park City July 4-6, to compete com-pete for nearly $4,000 in prizes during the three day Park City Resort Transition Trans-ition Cyclery sponsored event. July 4 will see nearly 100 riders competing for top prizes in a 62 mile or 100 kilometer National Prestige Classic. The race will be run on a 1.2 mile circuit at Holiday Hol-iday Ranch in Park City. The events begin at noon with the national class women running run-ning first. The final two days of racing rac-ing will be a National Olympic Oly-mpic Development Event. The final race in a series of seven throughout the west. Riders will be going all out in an effort to accumulate points for Pan American and Olympic Games selection. |
