A traditional celebration on the anniversary of our country's independance has for years been an institution in the Park. Bang Up Fourth Program Ready The local festivities for the Fourth of July here in Park City will be celebrated celebrat-ed outdoors at the Park City Park, beginning with a community com-munity bring-your-own hot dogs and hamburger picnic cook-out. Soft drinks and bar-b-que pits will be available avail-able for cooking, with all the charcoal provided. A rugby game scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. will add to the event along with the traditional sack races, three-legged races, a pie eating contest, a tug-o-war, horse and buggy rides and other activities. The cook-out is scheduled to begin at 3:30 with the activities ac-tivities carried into the evening by a square dance, tentatively scheduled to be gin at 7 p.m. It is hoped that a live band and a square dance "caller" will be on hand but this is still uncertain; uncer-tain; Information about the dance will be circulated at the cook-out. Fireworks will top off the evening. |
