Show ?-t ! j. ncflcrr : : : : .. . . i Discuss Shuffle Bus Service Possibilities at Tuesday Session Various possibilities for establishing a Shuttle Bus Service were discussed in a meeting Tuesday evening held at the Park City Memorial Building. Approximately fifty business and civic leaders attended the session. As the possibility of providing a shuttle bus service was discussed it was brought out that a minimum figure of $1,400 per month would be the cost of providing a local bus service. The $1,400 figure would include a salary for the driver, insurance and maintenance. Possible scheduled routes were also discussed. Many business men attending asked for a more exact cost estimate than was provided. Gene Carr of the Architectural Planning Alliance reported report-ed that if Park City can get the bus service off the ground then a precedent would be established whereby Federal Funds could be applied for to establish a large service as Park City is a recreational area. Buddy Waldman represented the Restaurant owners. Jim Carr represented the lodging association. On hand also were Warren King, president of Greater Park City Resort Co. and John Strand also of Greater Park City Resort Co. Ed Butt of Ski Utah Transportation Co. attended the meeting. It was the consensus of the group that as Mr. Butt is in the transportation service business he could prepare a proposal for establishing a shuttle bus service. Mr. Butt stated he would be willing to do this and he would have a proposal ready for consideration by this Friday. |
