Park Mining Income Shows Gain San Francisco, Calif.-New Park Mining Company (AMEX) today reported net income for the first three months of 1972 of $204,000, equal to $.057 per share, an increase of 647c over net income of $124,000, or $.035 per share, for the first quarter of 1971. No extraordinary income in-come was recorded in either year. Comparative revenues for the two quarters were $4,627,000 in 1972, up 12fc from sales of $4,130,000 in 1971. The first quarter performance perform-ance follows New Park's re cording of operating income of $527,395 for Fiscal Year 1971, second-highest in the 39-year history of the company, on record re-cord revenues of $18,015,324. R. J. Shopf, president of the natural resources developer and supplier to the petroleum and construction industries, . stated that the gains in earnings earn-ings during the first quarter reflect re-flect the continuing growth of the firm's oil service subsidiaries, sub-sidiaries, South Louisiana Contractors, Con-tractors, Inc. (SOLOCO), developer dev-eloper of oil well sites, and LOR, Inc. which provides specialized services to the petroleum pet-roleum industry. Shopf also announced today that New Park will move its headquarters to New Orleans, La., by July, 1972 in order to locate its operations at the center cen-ter of the petroleum industry's exploration activities.
