Show National 4-H Week Opening Set at Oakley Awards Dinner Oct. 2 Time again to give out the awards for 4-H work. All members, mem-bers, leaders and parents are invited to attend. We would especially es-pecially like all parents to come. Place: Oakley Ward Cultural Hall. Time: 2:00 p.m. When: Saturday, October 2, 1971. Council members urge your leaders . . . The 4-H emblem is a four-leaf four-leaf clover with the letter H" on each leaf. The four H's stand for HEAD, HEART, HANDS and HEALTH. The leaves of the clover are green and the "H's" are white. The white is for purity, Green is nature's most common color and is symbolic of youth, life, and growth. The 4-H Club Members Creed I believe in 4-H work for the opportunity it will give me to become a useful citizen. I believe in the training of my HEAD for the power it will give me to think, plan, and reason. rea-son. I believe in the training of my HEART for the nobleness it will give me to become kind, sympathetic, sym-pathetic, and true. I believe in the training of my HANDS for the ability it will give me to be helpful, useful and skillful. I believe in the training of my HEALTH for the strength it will give me to enjoy life, to resist disease, and to work efficiently. I believe in my country, my state, and my community, and in my responsibility for their dev elopment. In all these thing, I believe, and I am willing to dedicate my efforts to their fulfillment. The 1971 Leader's Banquet is behind us and truly a success. Jim Santy as always kept the group in stitches, the table decorations were beautiful and very colorful and the Relief Society ladies cooked up a fantastic fan-tastic dinner, and thanks to the Primary girls who served They were delightful and quite efficient.
