On the Deer Valley track, a race will be run between Nettie S., owned by a Mr. Davis, and Ike Baum's mare for a purse of $25.00 a side. Another big race is announced an-nounced to occur over at the drain tunnel between the Mur- dock horse and Bob Ross' i Rarus". The tunnel boys are ! putting their money on Rarus". Harry W. Wilson and Miss Emma Wright were united in marriage by Rev. G. W. Rich. Ed Andrews, the popular captain cap-tain and first baseman of the Athletic 'Browns' ball team of this city, will be married to Miss Eva H. Graves. Ed is a find young fellow, and has made hosts of friends in Park City, who with the Record wish him a long and happy life. They will make their home in Park City. A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Daniels. A baby boy to Mr. and Mrs. James Brinton. A baby boy to Mr. and Mrs. Jack V. Mills. 50 YEARS AGO August 1921 Miss Gladys Mills united in marriage to Mr. Thomas Andrew. An-drew. Slowly but surely, are conditions con-ditions improving in Park City. One less vacant building on Main Street. A nrst ciass repan shop will be opened in the Fisher building, south of City Hall. Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Bradley a fine baby girl. A good crowd was in attendance at-tendance at the "Rube Bell" given by the Park City Municipal Munic-ipal Band at Rasband's Hall. Slowly but surely the new Rasband moving picture theatre is nearing completion. 25 YEARS AGO August 1946 The Snyderville 4-H club met ') 'at the Powers Ranch. The following fol-lowing officers were chosen: f- Blaine Durrant, president; Wil-f Wil-f liain Murnin, secretary; Dwain Loertsher, reporter. Mr. and Mrs. Burt W. Peterson Peter-son announce the marriage of their daughter Rosalie to Corporal Cor-poral Robert T. Grose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Grose. Mrs. Berale Bunting will be maid of honor and Mr. John T. Lange best man. Miss Ruth Chamberlain, " daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Chamberlain was married to Robert F. Olsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur F. Olsen. Marriage licenses were issued is-sued to Roland Savage and Miss Delores Bates and to Sheron Lynn Thornton and Helen Ruth Sweatfield. |
