Show 4-H is a lot of things to lots of people. Here's what it is to me, have you ever felt this way? My house is an awful mess, my kids aren't fed, There's dishes in the sink and dust under the bed, But I'm making no excuses or alibis, you see, For 4-H advising has beckoned me. I rose to the occasion, I heeded the call, For I know all 4-H kids are on the ball. It's work. It's sweat. It's blood. It's tears, It's everything I knew in my worst fears. But I wouldn't trade for a million mil-lion dollars, Working on tote bags or little girl's collars. For pride helping little girls learn to cook and sew, Is something I've needed to help me grow! The annual 4-H Leaders Banquet Ban-quet will be held again this year, and will be at the Park City Cultural Hall Saturday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. The local banks are once again sponsoring spon-soring the dinner in appreciation apprecia-tion to the leaders of Summit County. The annual 4-H achievement program has been set for Saturday, Sat-urday, October 2, this week also being National 4-H week. Leadership training will be held October 11 through October 14 at Logan, Utah, through the State Extension Office. |
