Show Snowbird Resort Use Increases Snowbird Resort experienced exper-ienced substantial increases in patronage of all operations during the past summer, according ac-cording to Executive Vice President E. G. (Bud) Sie-mon. Sie-mon. Guest occupancy in the Snowbird lodges increased 89 over the previous summer. sum-mer. Much of the increase was due to expanded group meeting and conference business at the resort and the first summer operation of the new, 160-room Cliff Lodge. Food and beverage revenues reven-ues increased 77 over the previous summer period. Included In-cluded in the jump were gains in both individual and group food and beverage business. Snowbird operates two restaurants, res-taurants, a snack bar and a banquet-facility during the summer months. Over 60,000 persons rode the Snowbird Aerial Tramway Tram-way duringthepastsummer, a 487c gain over the previous like period, according to resort re-sort officials. Many of the revenue increases in-creases were related to additional ad-ditional group meetings and conference business at Snowbird, which tripled during dur-ing the summer over the previous one. Snowbird expanded ex-panded its meetingfacilities prior to the summer to include in-clude a 450-person capacity conference center and four other meeting sites for smaller groups. |
