Show like to sometime this year. She was in GAA (Girls Athletic Ath-letic Association) for two years and participated in many class functions including includ-ing the Colorado United Na tions meeting for high school students. She was also on a drill team called the Strutters. Strutt-ers. Marlene is still uncertain un-certain of what she will do in the future. -PCHS- New Junior s Marlene and Tammy Spaulding are new juniors in Park City High. They come from a small town in Colorado Colo-rado called Basalt; -It is located on the WesternSlope of Colorado. 'Here .are a few facts about each girl. Marfene enjoys horseback riding, Softball, music and water skiing. She has never tried to snow ski but would Tammy's hobbies are skiing, ski-ing, hiking and swimming. She participated in the Aspen Outdoor Education program. She was also in GAA and track. She too was aStrutter for Basalt High. Tammy would like to eventually become be-come a model. Their parents are Glenn and JoAnn Spaulding. Their oldest brother Leroy also came to Park City alongwith his wife Starla, and their five-month . old baby. They are all presently staying in the Snow Country apartments. apart-ments. Marlene Spaulding. -PCHS- New Senior Mike Farnsworth, a new student of Park City High, is a Senior and is graduating mid-term. He's staying with his aunt and uncle Betty and Cliff Roach at the Skiers Lodge. He came from Chandler Arizona where he attended Chandler High School. Here with Mike is his cousin, BobFarnsworth, who is attending Park City High and is also a mid-term Senior. Sen-ior. Bob came from Mesa, Arizona where he attended John Hancock Academy. Since their arrival, they have been nervous about attending at-tending Park City High and about the students here. They are both waitingpatiently for ski season to come. Bob has skied before but Mike has never tried the sport. They (Girls Athletic Association) Candace also participated in pep club and GAA. Her main activity was Speech and Drama contests. Candace spends her spare time reading while Maureen likes to write. Both girls enjoy skiing and snowmobil-ing. snowmobil-ing. The girls moved to Park City in June. They are living liv-ing on Holiday Ranch. Maureen and Candace don't make up the entire Bogue family. Mr. Bogue works for Greater Park City Company and Mrs. Bogue teaches fourth grade at Mar-sac Mar-sac Elementary. Also they have three brothers, Scott, Jordan and Kirk. -Candace Bogue. -PCHS- From Germany From K'o'lm, Germany comes a new senior student, Sabine Hansen. She moved to Summit Park this summer and is living with the Froel-kes. Froel-kes. Sabine is the sister of Mike Hansen, a former Park High student. Sabine likes the United States. She said she particularly partic-ularly enjoys Salt Lake City. Sabine also likes living in Summit Park. She loves being be-ing in the mountains where the traffic is a lot less noisy than it was in K'o'lm, Germany. Ger-many. Some of the things Sabine enjoys are skiing and painting. paint-ing. Cory Flinders. are interested in cars, cycles, horses, drag racing, maybe skiing and most of all, GIRLS!! -Mike Farnsworth. Farns-worth. -PCHS- From Colorado Candace and Maureen Bogue are new students in Park City High School. They come from Basalt, Colorado. Basalt is 18 miles from Aspen. As-pen. Some people are confused in thinking these girls are twins. Actually Maureen is in the tenth grade and Candace Can-dace is in the eleventh grade. In Basalt Maureen was very involved in yearbook, track, pep club, and GAA -PCHS- Season Starts "; The football season will soon be starting and the team i is hoping for a lot of support from the local people. The coaches for this football foot-ball year are: Wayne Carlson Carl-son and Ron Stepen. Ron Stepen is a new coach and teacher from Cottonwood High School in Salt Lake. The cheerleaders for this year are: Varsity -Valerie Pratt, Jackie Nelson, Lynne Maxfield and Debbie Goff. Jr. Varsity-Patti Prince, Shelly Flinders and Barbara Bar-bara Uriarte. -Cory Flinders |
