Slater 97 years rears y of age and believed to be on one one of Summit County County's oldest odest residents died at the Miners' Miners Hospital Fri Frida Friday day da November 14 at pm p.m. of a cardiac condition Mr Slater had made mado his hla home at the hospital for the past put few years due to his hla age He was born April 18 1861 at Cherry Valley Ohio a on of Gilbert and Angeline He came to Utah better than 50 60 years ago and settled In Snyderville where he operated a ranch for a abort short period later coming to Park City where he had made his hll home until his death He was one of the oldest and best known wn teamsters and ore haulers In the camp lie He was WM a teamster for the Kimball Livery Stables for many years He Ue was wasa a member of Cement Lodge No F. F A. A M. M of Wood River niver Nebraska for 62 52 years and in June of 1957 was presented with a gold life mem mem pin of this lodge which he treasured greatly He lIe is survived by one sister lIster Miss Hiss Margaret A.
