H 4 e 9 First Snow Arrives on Nov 20 A week-ago week Monday night on November 20 the first substantial substantial substantial sub sub- snow fell on the ski slopes of Park City's Treasure Treasure Treasure Trea Trea- sure Mountains Everyone was getting excited Hopes were high that the first day of skiing would be Thanksgiving Day Woody Anderson got his crew together and rode up to the Summit to see what amount of snow was on the slopes Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday Tues Tues- day November 21 Loren Larson Larson Larson Lar Lar- son got the snow-cat snow warmed up and took the crew up and around the area Though you cant can't see Woody Mel Fletcher and Loren in the cab of the snow-cat snow the grins of Tim Tedford Trapper Horan and John Henrion left to right illustrate the 0 optimism p t i m ism and anticipation everyone had Though there was ten inches of good packed snow on top of all the runs the white stuff at the bottom of Prospector was meager since the wind took the snow and placed it up upon upon upon on the mountains So of course no skiing was possible for the public Park City wasn't the only spot which suffered disappointment disappoint disappoint- ment Alta and Brighton weren't able to open either If U the s snow now n o w keeps falling Tuesday 28 it could be that the ski lifts will be open for this week For you anxious skiers the suggestion is to phone the resort to find out if the snow is ready for the boards |
