Jolly JoUy bunch of Elks that Invaded our city Monday and Tuesday- Tuesday Monday evening being devoted to Initiate a Spirit of 76 Class and Tuesday to present a bronze plaque to Park City to be permanently displayed In the Memorial building At the meeting Monday night the Spirit of 1776 Class was initiated Into the order this class being composed of candidates from Lodge No 85 81 of Salt take ake City and No of this city Tuesday morning some 70 members enjoyed a a. 10 o'clock breakfast at the Silver King mine The Tha feature of the two day gathering was the presenting of the bronze plaque bearing the names of local men and women In the armed services The plaqUes pla- pla q qUes are the gifts to Park City from tre tte f Salt Lake lodge No 85 B. O Only one of the plaques was on display ay str the meeting but the theother other will be completed soon and the pair will be on display In the building Conducting the ceremony attended by baine sode townspeople and visiting Elks wid Byron D. D Jones exalted ruler of the local Elks lodge The plaque was unveiled un un- veiled by two small girls Barbara Jean Wilson daughter of Mr and lira Irs Jack Wilson and Patricia Ann Ana Smith daughter daugh daugh- ter of Mr and Mrs William II 11 Smith The presentation was made by Douglas I I Tanner exalted l ruler of Salt Lake lodge No 85 and the plaque wa was accepted accept accept- ed on behalf of the community by Ed J J. J I chairman of the Summit county commission E. E H.
