MAGNA HAS EDGE ON FIRST HALF OF LEAGUE SERIES The Copper league is now in the stretch of the first half with Magna leading and the Arthur learn, by one game and Bimgham and the Bees trailing. Should Magna knock Arthur down as we go to press the pennant for the first half will just about be sewed up by the Perry men. Arthur however, may come to the fore and break into the win column and everything would be in a deadlock for the honors. ! The Bees haven't been able to break into the win column enough en-ough to be seriously considered The Salt Lake team even though lead by a great ball player can-, not hope to win in this league with a bunch of mediocre amateur ball players with nothing but high school and sand lot experience. We again repeat as we did before i-he season opened that the Bees new talent before the openihg of had bttr go gunning for some the second half if they want to be in the running. Copper has been an in and outer out-er all year, and hasn 't played consistent ball. The Copperboys are taking a brace for the second half and should do much better. If Arthur gets over Magna today to-day the race will be in a tight clinch and anybody (except the Bees) might win.
