with the intention of showing the old war horses ot of the local republican party how a new deal with untried material could ha be put over and the old time workers and advisors relegated to the garbage i can the idea went over fine at the caucus the handpicked hand picked delegates in convention assembled had bad no particular diff difficulty culty in nominating the ticket planned the reaction coming however when the ballots were cast on election day resulting in an overwhelming victory tor for the democratic ticket and a good le ticket at that 40 4 much surprise was expressed at
