Show L L J I 1 aubrey dies loremo john aubrey ono one of the old timers ailers of park city and for many Y years engaged in the bartering barbering buan business ine als in this city died at a salt lake hospital last sunday afternoon a iler after a brief illness deceased was born in ill birmingham england on oil december 12 1863 he emier emigrated a ted to america with his bis parents when six ix years of age ice locating abing in salt lake city in 1884 he was married to miss albertha louise luff the ceremony taking place in the logan L D S temple he followed bartering barbering all his life with his family he moved to park city in 1898 making his home here until 1922 when he took up his residence in salt lake city lie he was as always a consistent and devout member of the mormon church and devoted a great part of his time to religious work he served as superintendent of the sunday school of paik city for nineteen years during his long residence in this community he was held in high esteem a good man and dependable citizen politically he was a staunch democrat and served as chairman of that party for a number of years while in park city and was an active member of tho the park city volunteer fire department three years ago deceased suffered a paralytic stroke from rom which he never fully recovered A week previous to his death on the wedding anniversary of mr and mrs airs aubrey deceased tell fell breaking his leg and which no doubt was wag a contributing cause of his death ten children were born to mr air and mrs aubrey surviving are his widow and the following seven sons and one daughter L earl prank frank T laverne C and harold C aubrey all of salt lake percy S clarence clar n ce L and bert C aubrey of 0 f park p r k city one daughter mrs floyd A Y yates a t e s of bark park city two brothers albert and thomas aubrey of salt lake three ats tm miss louise aubrey mrs sarah hull and mrs airs emily hooper ot salt lake and nine grandchildren Flu funeral services were held at the twentieth ward L D S chapel wednesday afternoon bishop C C bishop of park city ward offered the invocation mr ed stromness an and mr david E seamans of salt lage jaee 10 former church workers coworkers co with mr aubrey while in park city president zach J ol of park city and bishop C C of salt lake were the speakers the grave was dedicated by mr aubrey hull A large number of former park city people were in attendance at the ceremonies |
