conditions permie until the opening ot of the ball season when a team of regulars will be selected to represent park city in the opening games all 10 local cal players who desire an opportunity to games this season manager tom byan of the park city club has decided to call a general public meeting for all interested in promoting baseball in park city this summer this meeting will be held in the elks hall next sunday afternoon at I 1 all players and tans fans who intend to patronize the games this year and all the good friends of the club who have already donated to the fund tor for suits and playing equipment are cordially invited to be present it will be necessary at this meeting to determine it if it ts s possible to enter a high class team la in the county league and it if such a team can be developed ve will it be possible to support and finance it from the gate receipts taken in at wednesday afternoon games in park city the prospects of park city being able to enter the Mor mit lt league received a very decided setback last monday night when the directors met at coalville Co alville it was disclosed to the local representatives who attended the meeting that only three outside teams would be permitted to play baseball on sundays these teams would be coalville Co alville echo and It morgan forgan the teams from these towns would be far from the playing standard of the teams that represent these places on wednesday as their best players are un able to ae leave their church on sunday afternoons it if park city will not be able to join this county league it may lose the equipment and supplies allotted to the other seven towns of 0 summit county the county commissioners are very anxious to encourage wednesday baseball in the two counties and have requested that a county holiday be observed every wednesday esclay afternoon during tile the playing season there will be little or no prospects ot of park city obtaining any sunday games in park city from the
